ABOUT THE SHOW

„Relics of the Afterfuture (Brown)“ is the first exhibition held at Jiri Svestka Berlin. For this event the gallery has presented recents works by the Romanian
conceptual artist Ioana Nemes. The objects exhibited are made from concrete, plastic, wood, leather, horse hair, ship skin and other natural
materials. Many are decorated with traditional motives from historical objects from different parts of Romania.

Opening Hours: 11am to 6pm Tuesday through Saturday and by appointment

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ioana Nemes was born in 1979. She graduated at the University of Fine Arts, Photo-video department in Bucharest.
At the present she lives and works in Bucharest. In 2007 Ioana Nemes was awarded the Future of Europe Award
annualy given by the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Leipzig to the most interesting art works of young East European artists.
